Firstly we made our production company logo by using the HUE cameras. We used an oriental fan and when that opened it revealed our logo 'Sakura Studios'. Using the HUE cameras took a while because we had to take a small clip every time we moved the fan. We then added a sound we found on iMovie called 'Lotus' and it really works with our theme.
The main thing we worked on was our table top filming because it took us a while to get set up with all the different objects. We had a very oriental theme and we had some pretty flower patterns in the back. We had lots of jewellery we managed to slow down on to show that they are important especially when they were stolen. When filming this we did it very slowly and made sure that you could see everything.
I really enjoyed doing the live action filming. We made the two main characters of our filming very mysterious because you never actually saw their face. We filmed five scenes outside. The first shot is a low shot of a suspicious man walking up the stairs, the next one is a across the shoulder shot of the thief running away and the man at the top of the stairs holding a gun, moving onto the thief being shot and falling to the floor when we cross cut to a hand falling down and revealing a piece of jewellery being taken from the hand. The last shot is the man walking away with a peak of the dead body on the floor and just as the man is walking away he takes off his hat but before you see his face it fades to black.
We had a lot of editing to do on iMovie. Firstly we put it in slow-motion. At the end we fade out to black and while the film fades out so does the music. We chose our background music to be 'Put your head on my shoulder' which fits well with our introduction. We added the names of the people who were involved in the making of this while you see the table top filming. The movie name 'Femme Fatal' meaning 'Dangerous Woman' is shown just before the live action film starts.
I believe that our film making went very well and I am really pleased with the outcome. If I had to change one thing it would be the camera quality of the production company logo.
10/10 Beautiful work from a talented Production Team! You have made a production company logo in stop frame animation with a fan opening, filmed and edited a tabletop sequence followed by a live-action sequence, then added titles and sound. Altogether an effective, polished and visually powerful piece. I loved the sound track.
