 PREP Write out these terms under the class post and define them:

SCHEDULING

To plan when a program is on the TV

LIVE TELEVISION

When a television show is being filmed live and broadcasted. 

'SECOND SCREENING'  

AUDIENCE INTERACTIVITY

When a television show is interreacting and talking with the audiences.

THE WATERSHED 

TV programs that are unsuitable for children are on after 9 pm

PEAK VIEWING TIME

The time where the television shows are viewed the most.

HIGH PRODUCTION VALUES 

Where the production company has high values so they have good equipment and better television.

    The definition of 'second screening' on page 22 of the OCR text book.It refers to audience's increasing use of social media such as tweeting and joining Facebook discussions about a programme : it encourages audiences to be active rather than passive
    Be prepared to offer more information on 'interactivity' such as viewers being encouraged to vote for favourites, an activity which increases the audience's commitment to the programme /channel.
    'High production values' refers to the high quality of the set, costumes, design, locations: be more precise.

Music Magazines Media Language

  Look carefully at the front covers of   MOJO  and   RNR   magazines.  QUESTION: How far do  MOJO  and  RNR  use  different  media language...
